Greetings AIXR community!
The AIXR team has been hard at work these past few months bringing about updates and improvements to the platform including 200+ new resources and shiny new functions that we can't wait for everyone to try. Just last month we opened up the new "in development" AIXR platform for early beta testing to a limited selection of our community!
So we want to give a big thank you to all those who participated in the first successful wave of tests and identifying bugs, it is important to us that the platform is at its peak functionality and that users experience the most optimized version of our platform. Our development team is now in the midst of making some of their final debugging rounds, so not long now until we launch!
Today, we do have a few very monumental and exciting updates on the platform and our evolution as an organization. Are you ready to take your experience with AIXR to the next level?

We're expanding Beta!
We're excited to announce that we're preparing to expand the beta to all Advisory members as soon as subscription and billing testing is completed. This expansion will significantly enhance all user experience and enable everyone to benefit even more from our platform's features and services.

Introducing the 'Founders Membership'
To show our gratitude to our long-term AIXR community members, we're putting in place our special 'Founders Membership.' All existing members who joined AIXR before May 1st, 2023, will automatically receive this Founders Membership, retaining their current pricing and benefits for unlimited access to their entire team.
This means, everyone on your team will have access to the platform, no matter how much you grow or change in the coming years.
Please note that if a Founders Rate member experiences a payment failure or changes their subscription, they will lose their legacy pricing status and be subject to current subscription rates.

We're excited to announce that our newest iteration of the AIXR website is now live! The updated and fully renewed website is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of the AIXR Platform, its features, and how it can benefit you and your teams. We believe that this updated website will greatly benefit our users by providing everyone with the information they need and would allow further exploration into how everyone could engage with the AIXR platform, the new website also showcases the ongoing evolution of the Academy to better serve our thriving AIXR community.

We’re almost there… It’s been a very busy first few months of 2023 for AIXR as we gear up for our new platform launch. As we prepare to launch beta testing, we would first like to take a moment to thank everyone for their continuous support. We are so grateful and can’t wait to share this next chapter with you all.
You will be excited to know the platform is almost complete! Our team has been working non stop running tests, identifying bugs and looking at the end user journey to ensure the product that we launch with is as seamless as possible. While our development team has been hard at work on the platform, our team has been pushing platform development, creating content and getting started on VR Awards 2023 (Yes, there is VR Awards talk in February…).
✅ Beta testing…
We are so excited as we get ready to introduce some of our first beta testers onto the platform!
On the 16th of February Group A will have a week of stress testing the platform's functions (not features) to ensure it is in the best shape possible for launch.
🚧 Platform MVP construction…
We are now on the home stretch for the development of the platform, so we are currently focusing on:
- Uploading all new resources to the platform
- Resolving any bugs on the personal and company profiles
- Uploading advisor information to relevant profiles
- Preparing for the first beta testers to go live on the platform
💡 Courses & Resources…
We’ll be launching the new platform with a selection of limited courses while we test the style and format before committing to publishing a further 15 more courses on the roadmap.
The initial lineup of courses will include:
- Introduction to VR, led by Daniel Colaianni (AIXR)
- Introduction to AR, led by Daniel Colaianni (AIXR)
- Teaching in the Metaverse, led by Jason Moore (The MetaMovie)
- Intellectual Property in the Metaverse, led by Andreea Carlan (McAllister Olivarius)
- Web3 Marketing Fundamentals, led by Emmanuelle Rurek (Minteed)
👥 Advisory Groups…
The new Advisory Groups are up and running and have had their first advisory meeting for 2023! We thank everyone who came along and we can’t wait to see the outcomes of these new groups as they move forward this year.
💬 Discord…
With the first advisory meeting in 2023 being a success, we are continuing to look at how we can help advisors by giving them a better environment to work in. We have made the decision to move our monthly meetings onto Discord. Here advisors can meet, transfer documents and speak outside of the confines of the monthly meetings. Be sure to “follow” these groups on their new advisor journey as you won’t want to miss it!
➕ New Additions…
As an AIXR member, you can automatically request to become an advisory group member. However, we are continuing to review and add new additions to the groups to ensure they are having the best possible conversations with the most well equipped advisors.

Hello, we’ve been hard at work this past month working towards opening up more and more opportunities and content to our community of professionals.
Thank you! to all of the members who completed our survey and supported the continued development of the new Platform. You have played a vital role in the enhancement of your member experience.
🗳️ Get voting on major content updates!…
We have now begun building a library of Immersive and Metaverse based, Web3 and Real-time VR/AR courses, with valuable input and feedback from our community. We have started the planning stages and have collected these into our AIXR Platform roadmap - please visit, engage, and be a part of this journey!
- We’ve got 7 NEW curated courses from a selection of our Founding Status Members in their planning stages
- A current total of 14 courses are planned to be on boarded into the AIXR Platform for launch month.
🆕 Important Changes to Advisory Groups…
We are also well on the way to producing a new model for member advisory groups which will now be found as “Groups” within the platform, along with drafting new eligibility requirements for being an advisory status member.
- “Advisory Groups” will move to a new format prior to the platform launch built within the community platform and divided by ‘Sector specific groups’ and ‘Technology specific groups’
- This new format will create a whole host of new groups that members can be invited to.
- The ability to ‘Follow’ Groups will open up to all members, free and professional.
- Members will be able to automatically request to join as an advisory member.
- An important advisory meeting between chairs will be held on the 12th October to confirm these changes.
🚧 Platform construction…
- We are currently In the midst of integral simultaneous UX and UI design and development
- Our developers are on track for our December 1, 2022 launch!
- We’ve been working on Metaverse definitions and events filtering systems.
- Our member portal will begin to be phased out next month.
- High fidelity wireframes will demonstrate the user journey through the Platform (request a pre-tour if you want a peek!)

Our community experience is about to get a whole lot better.
We’ve been hard at work fielding feedback and specialist insights from our community and are really excited to share what the team and member advisory chairs have been working on! (Hint, it’s really, really big)
In addition to all the features listed below, we are starting to slowly open up our community to professionals that work with Web3 technologies and Real-time content creation, new member advisory groups will launch to support strategy and implementation for this.
[Coming December] Beta launch of community platform incoming!
- Complete networking tools & directory – Members will be able to directly connect with other members, update their personal and company public profiles, showcase their achievements and manage their connection requests.
- Launch library of professional development courses – Working with members, a catalogue of career-based on-demand courses is being built to cover a variety of topics around VR/AR, Web3 and Business.
- Advisory Group / Special Interest Group Hubs – Our advisory groups will now have a place to call home, you’ll be able to see who is a part of a group, information on what the groups are talking about and stored/shared resources from group participants.
- User and subscription management – Manage your membership independently, assign paid team seats to members of your team, update billing information and download invoices directly from the platform.
- Many, many more behind-the-scenes features (check out the roadmap to learn more.)
[Live] UX Platform Beta testing begins
- Our design and development team are hard on work finalising the initial design and implementation phase of the community platform, if you would like to be part of the first beta group for UX testing, make sure to signup!
- Work with us to bring your expertise and content to the platform. We’re currently working with select members to develop on the special professional development content for the platform, use the link below if you would like to be one of those.
[Live] A better support experience is being rolled out
- Mid-August 2022 we started to test the implementation of a ticket-based support system for our events team to better keep track of incoming inquiries, after making some tweaks to the process including implementing a CES score to track the quality and response time of our support.
- Our membership team will now be transitioning to the new system. Introductions, requests and support will now be tracked through our shared inbox and ticketing system, making response times quicker and for a more seamless member experience.
[Coming January] New membership options becoming available
- A new FREE membership tier will be launching to enable those just dipping their feet into the industry to access our free resources and courses. Free members will still need to upgrade their membership to access all content and membership benefits currently available.
- A Founders membership, to reward those who have helped us to shape the launch of the platform, the academy and our activities to date. Eligible members will automatically be upgraded to this membership free of charge in January, providing there are no outstanding fees or subscription pauses.
- Team-based seat/user subscriptions, monthly payment options and more!
[Ongoing] AIXR innovation centre is on its way!
- We’re able to confirm that throughout the summer, demolition and construction crews have been working as fast as they can to clear the existing town centre land, to make way for the purpose-built facilities construction
- The next phase of the construction will see the site begin archaeological surveys due to its location at a historic site.
- Hardware partners from across the world have started talks with the team as we are behind round 1 of hardware scoping for the final refurbishment of the centre.

Through this Roadmap, Members will be able to feedback ideas and commentary through 3 feedback pipeline requests:
- Platform Feature Requests – On here you will find the map of planned features for the platform, we’ve tried to include as many features as possible into this beta launch, but we are aware that some useful features such as community messaging will need to be pushed into later iterations.
- Platform Content Requests – We have a whole host of content from courses, fact sheets and insights ready to go on the new platform, work with us to create content of your own!
- Platform Bugs – As we move into platform beta testing, we are bound to have a few bugs crop up. As a community member, this will be a prime area for you
